Volunteer with RBI Austin

Welcome to RBI Austin! We’re thrilled you are interested in joining our community of passionate volunteers dedicated to empowering youth through baseball and softball. By volunteering with us, you’ll play a key role in fostering positive change and helping kids in underserved communities develop athletically, academically, and spiritually, empowering them to lead the transformation of their communities. Whether you are assisting with summer league coaching, volunteering at one of our spring clinics, or supporting special events like our yearly charity gala, your time and effort will make a lasting impact. Together, we can create opportunities for young people to grow, thrive, and achieve their full potential!

Each volunteer opportunity below is identified as either a Clinic Volunteer or an Event Volunteer. Clinic Volunteers are any event where volunteers will be directly interacting with our RBI Austin kids and require some additional safety measures. Event Volunteers are events in which children are not directly interacting with volunteers.

Upon a quick registration on this site, you will receive an email from Ankored, which will contain a link to finish up the volunteer approval process. You will be able to use the same login information for both sites to make the process a little easier.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Jr. RBI Clinic #1

When: Sunday, March 1, 2026, 2:00pm - 4:30pm
Where: Parque Zaragoza (742 Pedernales St, Austin, TX 78702)
Who will this serve: Boys and girls (ages 4 - 12); beginners and experienced players
Description: Free baseball & softball clinic boys and girls (ages 4 - 12) that will be broken out in age groups and working through different skills. Volunteers will be there to participate, encourage and enjoy getting to engage with RBI Austin kids.

Jr. RBI Clinic #2 & In-Person Summer League Registration

When: Saturday, April 18, 2026, 9:00am - 10:30am (Clinic) 9:00am - 12:00pm (Summer League Registration)
Where: Downs Field (2816 E 12th St, Austin, TX 78702)
Who will this serve: Boys and girls (ages 4 - 12); beginners and experienced players
Description: Free baseball & softball clinic boys and girls (ages 4 - 12) that will be broken out in age groups and working through different skills. Volunteers will be there to participate, encourage and enjoy getting to engage with RBI Austin kids.

Summer League Coach

When: RBI (13-18) - May 18 - July 9, 2026 & Jr. RBI - June 1 - Aug 1, 2026
Where: Ballfields around Austin Area
Who will this serve: boys and girls ages 4-18
Description: Volunteers will serve as a coach (Head, Assistant or Chaplain) with 1 practice and 2 games each week.

Jr. RBI Uniform Shop

When: June 6, 2026, time TBD
Where: The For The City Center - 500 E St Johns Ave, Austin, TX 78752
Who will this serve: Jr. RBI Families purchasing uniform items (pants, socks and belts)
Description: Volunteers will help our staff by assisting with transactions, looking up the required items, managing inventory, and other activities.

T-Ball Celebration Day

When: July 25, 2026, time TBD
Where: TBD
Who will this serve: RBI Austin T-Ball Players and Families
Description: Volunteers will help our staff by assisting with decorating the fields, handing out post-game snacks and drinks, and helping to make the last day of the season special for our players.
